Ryan Cashatt, founder and operator of the Cashatt Family Funerals - Platte Woods Funeral Chapel, is the son of a local pastor. Since the age of 12 years old he has had a passion to help family, friends and neighbors with arrangements for their loved ones´ funerals. It was customary for Ryan to spend his summers from junior high through college at locally owned funeral homes in Iowa and Missouri learning as much about the business as possible. A Licensed Funeral Director since 2000, Ryan has been serving families at locally owned facilities as well as D.W. Newcomers and Sons.
Living in the Northland for 30 years, Ryan, his wife Kelly and his three young daughters moved to Platte Woods in 2010. Strong feelings led Ryan to open a family owned and operated funeral chapel in Platte Woods that would serve the entire Northland; Platte Woods, Zona Rosa, Weatherby Lake, Lake Waukomis, Parkville, Riverside, and Northmoor to name a few of the wonderful communities in the area.
